- VISTO 48 elastic soundproofing panel
VISTO 48 elastic soundproofing panel
VISTO 48 is a high-tech soundproofing and sound-absorbing elastic panel for walls and ceilings. Different layers combined in the panel achieve much higher levels of sound insulation compared to the traditional materials such as glass fibre, Rockwool or cork. The position of this highly elastic polyvinyl diaphragm (middle layer) works as a soundproofing and sound-absorbing membrane. The wavy shape of the porous material (front layer) has an optimised geometry that increased sound absorption in the 400-650 Hz range, significantly these are the most typical frequency of the human voice.
VISTO 48 is a patented product and is the result of two years of development, during which the full parameters determining its’ acoustic properties were examined, such as:
* Airflow resistance
* Viscous and thermal length of the pores within the material
* Porosity
Soundproofing panel VISTO 48 is suitable for:
- Installation in plasterboard (as a substitute for traditional mineral wool), above suspended ceilings, under raised floors and as a finished surface in studios, voice-over booths, music practise rooms etc.
- For sound insulation on walls, it is recommended that these panels are installed within a recess formed from plasterboard (or similar structure) – Visto 48 can be glued to the wall surface using VISTO BOND or VISTO Fix. The advantage of mounting within a recess helps avoid damage to the panel edges in areas of high traffic.
- For suspended floor soundproofing. VISTO 48 can be applied directly over an existing sub-floor without any glue.
- When used above suspended ceilings, VISTO 48 panels should be applied directly to the gridwork suspension system. It is recommended to reinforce the suspended grid with additional hangers to prevent sagging.
